Farewell Waternet 💧

💧 Farewell & Thank You, Waternet
After five inspiring years, our collaboration with Waternet has come to an end — and what a journey it’s been!

Since 2020, 5Consultancy has had the privilege of supporting Waternet in implementing and embedding systems engineering across multiple strategic projects. Together, we worked to build an organization-wide approach to managing complex technical challenges with structure, clarity, and demonstrable quality.

From setting up requirements management environments and developing verification & validation frameworks, to guiding teams in adopting Relatics, ACC, and asset management integrations — this partnership has been a masterclass in teamwork, innovation, and sustainable engineering.

We’re especially proud to have contributed to iconic initiatives such as:

Slow Sand Filter #2 – strengthening Amsterdam’s drinking water supply;
Dephosphating Plant Botshol – improving water quality across the region;
Strandeiland development – integrating water, waste, and drinking systems in one of Amsterdam’s most ambitious urban expansions;
RWZI Huizen & pressure pipeline – renewing vital wastewater infrastructure;
Dike Reinforcement Nieuwkoop – enhancing flood protection and safety.

A huge thank you to the many dedicated Waternet professionals who made this collaboration so impactful. Your openness, expertise, and shared drive for continuous improvement have left a lasting impression on us.

To new projects and continued innovation in Dutch water management — it’s been a privilege to be part of your mission. 🌊
